Tổng quát
Viện nghiên cứu Chính sách Quốc gia (National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, 政策研究大学院大学 - Seisaku Kenkyū Daigakuin Daigaku) hay được biết đến nhiều hơn cả với tên GRIPS, là một trong những trường quốc gia hàng đầu tại Nhật Bản. Thành lập vào năm 1997, tại quận Minato, Tokyo, GRIPS chỉ có các khóa đào tạo trên đại học, chú trọng vào ngành chính sách công.
GRIPS là một trong những trường dẫn đầu về nghiên cứu chính sách tại Châu Á, ngang hàng với những trường như Asian Institute of Management ở Manila, KDI School of Public Policy and Management ở Seoul và the Lee Kwan Yew School of Government ở Singapore. Tháng 8 năm 2009, GRIPS được IDEAS đánh giá là trường đứng thứ ba về ngành kinh tế, sau Đại học Tokyo và Đại học Osaka. Tháng 3 năm 2012, GRIPS cũng được IDEAS xếp hạng thứ 11 trong số những trường hàng đầu về nghiên cứu kinh tế tại Châu Á.
